To promote the spirit of dedication and fulfill social responsibility, on the eve of July 1st, 7 members of the special duty squadron were organized to participate in a public blood donation event in the Jiangbei District. The team members contributed their blood to support life, interpreting through action the law enforcement team’s mission of serving the people and dedicating themselves to the society, showcasing the warmth and responsibility of administrative law enforcement officers in the new era.
Volunteering Initiative: Law Enforcement Officers Become "Blood Donation Pioneers" At 2 p.m., despite the scorching heat, the special duty squadron members lined up neatly and set off for the blood donation site at the district government. "Every time I donate blood, I feel like I’m making a small contribution to the society," said Instructor Wen Jianlin, rolling up his sleeve first. "Helping others makes this persistence worthwhile!" Inspired by him, 7 comrades from the special duty squadron volunteered this year. Notably, Instructor Wen has participated in blood donation for many consecutive years, with a cumulative donation exceeding 2,000 milliliters. Two other team members, who had just finished patrols, rushed to the scene. A nurse advised them to take a rest first, but team member Luo Liang said: "We’re in good physical condition. Whenever there’s a need, we’re always ready."
Tender Moments: The "Soft Hearts" of a Tough Team During the blood donation process, the law enforcement officers shed their usual stern demeanor, encouraging and joking with each other. Chen Kaihang, a post-95s team member donating blood for the first time, seemed slightly nervous. His colleagues lightened the mood with work banter: "You weren’t afraid of pandemic control or flood fighting, but now you’re scared of a needle?" These sparked waves of laughter. After donating, team member Wu Shiting quietly saved a screenshot of his "Honorable Blood Donation" e-certificate to his album: "No need to post it on social media, and just knowing it myself is enough." This tender side of a tough man perfectly reflects the law enforcement team’s dedication to serving the people. Serving the People: From Street Enforcement to Blood Donation In recent years, while strengthening comprehensive administrative law enforcement, the special duty squadron has actively participated in public welfare activities such as community service-providing and poverty alleviation, etc. This blood donation event collected over 1,000 milliliters of blood, and the squadron also established an emergency blood donation volunteer database. Squadron Leader Xu Xianming said: "Our team members are spreading positive energy through their blood donations, embodying the principle of 'People’s Law Enforcement for the People'." This year, 32 law enforcement officers from the Jiangbei Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau have participated in blood donation. In this special "operation" without legal documents or fines, they used dedication as their pen to write a heartwarming chapter of their own. |
