2025-07-28 11:11:56

On July 24, Zhang Guofeng, Secretary of the CPC Jiangbei District Committee, led a team to conduct an in-depth investigation of sports enterprises, sport venues, and commercial complexes in the district, focusing on the high-quality development of the local sports industry.

Amid the wave of digitalization, sports and health services are entering a new era of precision. In the morning on that day, Zhang Guofeng firstly visited the Eliga Sports and Health Management Center in the Ningbo Sci-Tech & Cultural Innovation Harbor. As China’s first intelligent sports health management institution, its digital equipment and scientific service system have become industrial highlights. Zhang Guofeng toured the exhibition hall, fitness testing room, and rehabilitation center, inspecting cutting-edge sports technologies and inquiring about the equipment’s applications in professional team training as well as the company’s business operations. Zhang Guofeng noted that the sports health industry connects both public well-being and industrial upgrading, making it a sunrise sector with both social value and economic potential. He encouraged the company to remain steadfast in technological R&D, deepen its core competencies, and extend the benefits of high-quality sports equipment, efficient rehabilitation programs, and personalized training plans to more people. He also emphasized leveraging the natural advantages of the riverside core area to create more open sports spaces, blending scenic views with sport activities and integrating fitness into the urban fabric.

Later on, Zhang visited the Ningbo Telfid Precision Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., which specializes in the production, R&D, and export of high-end outdoor sports equipment, particularly crossbows and archery gear for hunting. The company is now diversifying into auto parts, transmission bearings, valves, and other sectors. Zhang Guofeng examined the products and listened to introductions about their market positioning and development strategies. He stressed the need to maintain dominance in outdoor sports products while embracing smart sports innovations, making breakthroughs in key technologies like material R&D and intelligent control. He also urged efforts in brand building to shift from "product export" to "brand globalization" and to tap into the domestic consumer market, bringing high-quality Chinese products to more households.

During summer, the Jiangbei District Public Fitness Center has become a hotspot for residents. Splashes fill the swimming pool; the sound of badminton rackets echoes, and the cheers of teenagers enliven the basketball courts... Zhang Guofeng moved through the venues, learning about summer class curricula, coach qualifications, and safety measures. "The Public Fitness Center is a 'sports living room' serving the people," Zhang Guofeng emphasized, calling for simultaneous improvements in hardware and service efficiency, diversifying venue offerings to boost fitness awareness and promote health and happiness through sports. He also highlighted optimizing venue resources to host more high-quality sport events, identify promising athletic talents, and cultivate management professionals skilled in operations and service-providing.

Zhang Guofeng also visited the Decathlon Hongtang Store, which has operated in Jiangbei for nearly a decade, serving over 300,000 person times annually. Its shelves are stocked with everything from entry-level to professional sports gear, and its summer children’s classes have been fully booked. He inspected the products, inquired about summer class enrollment, and discussed new trends in public sports consumption with the store manager. Zhang Guofeng acknowledged the company’s decade-long contributions to promoting fitness in Jiangbei and urged it to leverage its full-industry-chain strengths to introduce global quality sport products while innovating locally based on Ningbo residents’ preferences. He stressed using sports consumption as a lever to drive integrated development of "sports + commerce" and "sports + cultural tourism", making it a new engine for regional economic growth.
