Recently, the reporters learned from the Beikun Group in the district that the wetland project located north of the Jiangbei Freight North Station and south of the Beikun Intelligent Manufacturing Park has successfully achieved water flow.

It is reported that since its commencement on December 30, 2024, the project passed formal acceptance in just six months. The total land area of the project reaches 15,400 square meters, covering the original green belt and surrounding areas. To address the parking resource shortage in the Beikun Intelligent Manufacturing Park, the project team innovatively integrated ecological concepts into the preliminary design, optimizing spatial layout to add 192 motor vehicle parking spaces within the ecological wetland. "The project focuses on ecological restoration and functional upgrades, combining a constructed hybrid wetland system with parking spaces. This not only resolves the parking issue but also achieves dual goals of water purification and urban ecological development. It breaks the single-function limitation of traditional parking lots, closely integrating ecological benefits with practical value, and injecting new momentum into regional sustainable development," explained the project's responsible person.

After completion, this once underutilized area will transform into an urban “green lung”, integrating parking services, science education, and an ecological wetland park, becoming a vivid example of Jiangbei District's commitment to green development.
