In the afternoon of July 10, Xu Huixiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jiangbei District Committee and District Mayor of the Jiangbei District, led a team to visit the Jiangbei Power Supply Branch of Ningbo Power Supply Company, State Grid to conduct research on peak summer electricity supply. Deputy District Mayor Xie Jun participated in the event.

Xu Huixiang and his delegation visited the business hall of the Jiangbei Power Supply Branch to learn about the services provided and listened to a report on the work of the Yongjiang Power Supply Station in recent years. Subsequently, they went to the Jiangbei Power Supply Service Command Center to gain a comprehensive understanding of the district's electricity capacity and related operations. Xu Huixiang said that in recent years, the power supply department has made active contributions to Jiangbei's economic development. Despite the current high temperatures, the working staff remain dedicated on front lines, therefore, he expressed his condolences and gratitude for their relentless efforts and hard work.

At the subsequent symposium, Xu Huixiang carefully listened to reports on the Jiangbei District's electricity consumption this year, related project construction, and key focus areas for the next steps. He particularly emphasized the measures for ensuring electricity supply during the peak summer period this year and fully affirmed the achievements of the power supply department in recent years. Xu Huixiang noted that in recent years, the power supply department has proactively aligned with the CPC Jiangbei District Committee and the Jiangbei District People’s Government's central tasks, implemented measures in an orderly manner, and effectively supported regional socio-economic development.

As this is a critical period for peak summer electricity supply, Xu Huixiang emphasized that the power supply department must go all out to ensure supply, collaborate with relevant district departments, strengthen efforts to secure supply management from higher authorities, and implement precise demand-side management to meet the electricity consumption needs of key enterprises. He also called for increased publicity to guide the public in scientific, economical, and off-peak electricity consumption. Regarding the next step, Xu Huixiang stressed the need for coordinated efforts to steadily advance main grid projects, alleviate block-level electricity supply pressure, and improve electricity reliability. He highlighted the importance of forward-looking planning to fully integrate into urban development and drive progress. Additionally, he urged strict management of production safety, focusing on core responsibilities to ensure the secure execution of Jiangbei's power grid construction tasks. He also called for detailed flood and typhoon emergency measures to safeguard the lives and property of residents, contributing to the goal of building a "refined urban area and happy district of Jiangbei".
