Recently, a unique "Anti-Fraud Tea Party" event, part of the "Hundred Young" anti-fraud campaign series, was successfully held at the Baiyang Future Community Study in the Kongpu Subdistrict. Anti-Fraud Tea Party During the event, an anti-fraud task force, comprising Officer Zheng from the Kongpu Police Station, anti-fraud educator Ms. Zhou from the Subdistrict’s Safety and Legal Affairs Office, and community grid worker Ms. Li, delivered an accessible yet in-depth analysis using real-life cases of local residents who had fallen victim to scams. Impersonating law enforcement, online task scams, investment fraud, tax refund scams… fraudulent tactics are ever-evolving. Through vivid case studies, the team exposed common tricks used by scammers, analyzed the psychological traps that ensnare victims, and offered practical prevention tips.
Explaining Fraud Cases "I once got a call claiming to offer a courier refund. Luckily, I didn’t transfer money. Today’s session made me realize how elaborate their schemes are. I’ll definitely be more cautious from now on," said Uncle Li. "Scams are getting sneakier, and even young people need to learn. Especially our elders, they must stay informed to protect their families’ savings," remarked Auntie Zhou. The engaging discussion resonated strongly, with residents sharing personal or witnessed fraud experiences to collectively dissect tactics and raise vigilance. Many admitted the cases presented by the team were both eye-opening and highly practical.
Making Anti-Fraud Car Hangings To integrate anti-fraud awareness into daily life, the community also organized a fun DIY car-hanging activity. Residents crafted hangings printed with anti-fraud slogans or patterns under staff guidance, bonding over their newfound knowledge in a warm and lively atmosphere. "These hangings are both practical and creative. They’ll serve as constant reminders to have us stay alert," participants said.
DIY event Group Photo "We aim to build safety nets through enjoyable interactions. This tea party not only taught fraud prevention in a relaxed setting but also strengthened community bonds," said a representative of the Baiyang Community. "We’ll continue to diversify anti-fraud campaigns to ensure comprehensive safety for all, fostering a secure and harmonious neighborhood environment." |
