In the morning of January 16, the Super Optical Storage, Charging and Switching Station, the largest highway service area charging station in the Zhejiang Province, was completed and put into operation in the Cicheng Service Area of Shenyang-Haikou Expressway, providing strong support for green travel during the Spring Festival travel rush.

On site commissioning ceremony

As an important transportation hub on the Shenyang-Haikou Expressway, the Cicheng Service Area is adjacent to the ancient county town of Cicheng. During the Spring Festival travel rush, the daily average traffic entering the area can reach 8,000 vehicles. After this expansion, the original 20 charging parking spaces have been increased to 82, which will greatly alleviate the peak pressure of charging during the Spring Festival period in the service area.

"ChaoJi" Charging Station

In the Cicheng service area, the State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company has also put into operation two sets of the city's first future oriented "ChaoJi" charging piles, which adopt the new national standard for high-power charging implemented in April 2024. By using advanced liquid cooled fast charging technology to actively dissipate heat, it ensures that the charging gun maintains a low temperature during high-power output. Compared to traditional air cooling methods, its maximum output power is 8 times that of ordinary charging piles, and it can help new energy vehicles recover 80% of their power within 5-10 minutes, truly achieving rapid energy replenishment.

Staff guide car owners on charging

This charging station not only achieves "large" and "fast" performance, but also synchronously builds 194 kilowatts of photovoltaics and is equipped with 440 kilowatt hours of energy storage equipment. It will be equipped with a multi-element energy digital intelligent management platform to achieve on-site consumption of new energy and optimal energy regulation. In addition, a "Drivers' Home" has been specially built, which includes facilities such as restrooms and free Wi Fi, providing a convenient resting area for car owners.

During the Spring Festival, the State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company will establish a special service team and arrange personnel to be stationed on-site in high traffic service areas throughout the city to guide and assist new energy vehicle owners in charging, maintain order within the station, and arrange two mobile charging vehicles as emergency vehicles to fully meet the electricity charging needs of the majority of vehicle owners during the Spring Festival travel rush period.
