In the morning of May 9, Xu Huixiang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jiangbei District Committee and District Mayor of the Jiangbei District, led a team to supervise the work for ecological environment protection. Deputy District Mayor Zhu Enqing participated in the event.   

Xu Huixiang firstly arrived at a certain environmental protection technology company on the west side of the Yasaiyan Subway Station to inspect the surrounding environment and construction waste disposal of the enterprise on site. Xu Huixiang pointed out that local subdistricts and relevant functional departments should strictly implement the deployment and requirements of ecological environment protection work in the early stage, dispose of them in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and ensure that every problem is well rectified, and that environmental quality is continuously improved.

Subsequently, at the Yaojing Garden in the Zhuangqiao Subdistrict, Xu Huixiang conducted a field inspection of the water quality of the Zhangjiafan River. Xu Huixiang said that local subdistricts and relevant functional departments should implement precise pollution interception through tracing, improve the efficiency of sewage collection, and achieve source control, systematic control, and precise management.

Finally, Xu Huixiang came to the Hongtang Subdistrict to carefully inspect the water quality of the river on the east side of the Shenhe Ningshang Apartment to understand the progress of the ongoing Xiashen River treatment project. Xu Huixiang urged the subdistrict to closely follow the timeline, follow arrangements and promote the implementation of the schedule, strive to advance the progress, and at the same time, adhere to the principle of comprehensive investigation and filling in gaps, improve long-term management mechanisms, and ensure the effectiveness of rectification.

Xu Huixiang emphasized that ecological environment protection is related to the overall economic and social development and the vital interests of the people. All functional departments and local subdistricts should deeply study and implement Xi Jinping thought on eco-civilization, focus on solving problems, tighten responsibility, resolutely and effectively carry out investigation and rectification, coordinate and collaborate, optimize mechanisms, strengthen guarantees, and gather strong cooperation to do a good job in ecological environment protection, improve working effectiveness, and support high-quality development with a high-quality ecological environment.
