In the evening of August 13, the National Badminton Championships 2023 kicked off at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center. On the day of the finals, more than a thousand of citizens and fans gathered at the gymnasium of the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center to watch the championship competition in five events of men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

The competition for the finals was intense, and every time a player served, the audience held their breath and remained silent. However, when a player won a score, the audience would cheer.

After 8 days of fierce competition, 5 individual championships were finally announced. Liu Liang from the Hu'nan Team won the men's singles championship, Cai Yanyan from the Beijing Team won the women's singles championship, and Xie Haonan/Zhu Haiyuan from the Zhejiang Team won the men's doubles championship. Feng Xueying/Chen Xiaofei from the Guangdong Team won the women's doubles championship, and Zhou Zhihong/Tang Ruizhi from the Hu'nan Team won the mixed doubles championship.

The highly anticipated match was the men's doubles finals, with the host Zhejiang Team facing the Jiangsu Team. With the tacit cooperation of Ningbo young player Zhu Haiyuan and Wenzhou young player Xie Haonan, the Zhejiang Team ultimately defeated the Jiangsu Team scoring 2:1 and won the men's doubles championship of the National Badminton Championships in one go.
