The delegates agreed that the government work report is concise, detailed, clear-cut, objective and specific, comprehensively summarizing the achievements of economic and social development in 2020 and during the 13th Five-year Plan period, and defining goals, ideas and tasks for the 14th Five-year Plan period and in 2021. In the past year, facing complicated and difficult situations, the Jiangbei District made remarkable achievements in reform and innovation, economic development, urban-rural integration, and social governance, etc., which are encouraging and inspiring.

On June 29 last year, the Bund Sub-district was officially established. The sub-district closely focused on requirements of the Jiangbei district's striving to be a model student in the construction of "important windows" in the Zhejiang Province, fully implemented relevant deployment of "striving to be the first to create excellence" action in the district, city and the province, focused on the power of the center to exert great efforts, implemented precise policies to promote development, and focused on building a "pioneer" and "model area" reflecting high-quality development of Jiangbei. On July 22, the old Bund was officially listed in the second batch of 12 national pedestrian streets in China. Representative Zou Gang pointed out that in order to better inherit the cultural connotation of the old Bund's opening to the outside world, continuously improve the internationalization level of the old Bund, make it the first choice for foreigners to live and start their businesses, and an important window for Ningbo to display its image to the outside world, it is suggested to further accelerate the internationalization of the old Bund.

The delegates said that 2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the first year of the 14th Five-year Plan period. It is necessary to make a good start for building an all-round "city of wisdom, harmony and charm", speed up the upgrading of urban economy, focus on the development of the "building economy industry, high-end modern service industry, finance and insurance industry, and port and shipping service industry" and so on, implement the upgrading of old buildings, increase efforts to attract large and strong businesses, and build nests to attract talents, improve and strengthen the business environment, gather talents and popularity for high-quality development of Jiangbei, and constantly enhance the core radiation of Jiangbei's urban economy. It is necessary to accelerate the upgrading of the old Bund. According to the requirements of creating a national pedestrian street, it is necessary to promote the construction of the project, promote the adjustment of business formats, and strengthen cultural promotion, so as to jointly develop the Baisha Historical and Cultural Block, and build a landmark block comparable to the domestic first-class commercial streets.
