The discounted high-speed bus fare promotion between Ningbo and Shanghai, first introduced in March this year, has been relaunched in April. Starting from April 7, the original fare of 115 RMB per trip from the Ningbo South Bus Station to the Shanghai South Bus Station has been reduced by 36 RMB, bringing the one-way price down to just 79 RMB. The return journey (Shanghai to Ningbo) also enjoys the same discount.

The high-speed bus journey between Ningbo and Shanghai takes approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes. The schedule is as follows:

Departures from the Ningbo South Station:

7:10, 8:15, 9:30, 10:40, 12:05, 13:00, 14:10, 15:00, 16:15, 17:45

Departures from the Shanghai South Station:

8:00, 9:35, 10:40, 11:50, 13:00, 13:50, 14:40, 15:40, 16:45, 17:55

Currently, travelers from Ningbo to Shanghai can choose high-speed rail services to stations such as the Shanghai Hongqiao Station and the Shanghai South Station, with approximately 50 daily departures. The fastest trip from Ningbo to the Shanghai Hongqiao Station takes just 1 hour and 34 minutes, with the lowest second-class fare at 105 RMB. For bus services, passengers can purchase tickets through the official WeChat account “Ningbo Public Transportation” (宁波公运). Simply select “Bus Tickets” in the online booking menu to check detailed schedules and make purchases. Please note: The discounted fare only applies to the Ningbo South Bus Station to the Shanghai South Bus Station route. Fares for the Pudong Airport route remain unchanged.
